Impact:
1. Voice calls and SMS will now operate through the 4G network.
2. Devices supporting 3G connectivity can no longer make calls, receive SMS, or use the network.

How to Turn On VoLTE (Voice over LTE)
For Android Devices:
- Open Settings: Go to the Settings app on your phone.
- Network & Internet: Select Connections or Network & Internet, depending on your device.
- Mobile Network: Choose Mobile Network or Cellular Network.
- VoLTE Settings: Find the VoLTE option and toggle it on.
For Apple Devices:
- Open Settings: Go to the settings app on your iPhone.
- Cellular: Tap on Cellular or Mobile Data.
- Cellular Data Options: Select Cellular Data Options.
- Enable VoLTE: Tap Voice & Data, and select LTE, VoLTE On.
For iPhone devices running on iOS 17 and above, the option to toggle VoLTE has been turned off. Users are not required to manually enable or disable it on their devices, as it is automatically managed by the system, depending on the network carrier’s support and network conditions.

What does the 3G cessation mean?
All mobile operators in Singapore are targeting to stop providing 3G services on 31 July 2024. This means that all voice calls, SMS, and mobile data networks on 3G will not be available.
I am using a 3G-only device. What will happen?
After the 3G network is turned off, 3G-only devices can no longer make voice calls, send SMS, or connect to the network.
How do I check if my phone is 4G-compatible and VoLTE-supported?
You can check under your phone’s settings. Under “Network” or “Mobile Network,” you can see if 4G is enabled. Otherwise, you may check your device manual or manufacturer’s website for specifications.
What should I do if my device is not 4G compatible?
To continue using our network, you must upgrade to a 4G-compatible device. You can explore new devices from our Authorised redONE Mobile Partners here.
Can I still use my current mobile plan with a 4G device?
If you switch to a 4G device, your current mobile plan with redONE Mobile will continue to work as usual.
Why can’t I make or receive any phone calls? I have a 4G compatible device.
Check your phone settings to ensure that voLTE is turned on on your device.
Do I need to change my SIM Card?
No. Our SIM Cards are 4G enabled.
Will the 3G cessation impact my 4G service?
No, your 4G service will continue as normal. The cessation only affects 3G networks and devices incompatible with 4G.
Will this affect my existing phone number and line with redONE Mobile?
No. Your existing phone number and line with redONE Mobile will remain unchanged. You will only need to ensure that your device is 4G-capable.
What is the deadline for upgrading my device?
The 3G network will cease operation by 1 November 2024. We recommend upgrading your non-compatible device as soon as possible to avoid service disruptions.
Will I be able to roam in countries that still support 3G?
Your device might connect if you travel to a country that still supports 3G networks. However, for optimal connectivity, we recommend using a 4G-compatible and VoLTE-supported device.
